Bee Aware it’s September

Date: September 8, 2015By: NELMAC MarketingEnvironment, News

Be awareSeptember is Bee Aware Month with groups all over NZ being encouraged to scatter seeds of bee friendly plants around their communities. As part of this project NCC, Nelmac and Friends of Broadgreen selected a patch in the Broadgreen gardens to scatter wild flower seeds to feed the bees over the summer ahead. With bees pollinating two-thirds of our food supply – it’s an effort that is not without its rewards.

Spring is the perfect time to sow so why not join the buzz about bees and plan to create your own summer flowering bee banquet? It’s good for the bees and good for us all.
