Nelmac is proud to have been involved in the installation of the Christmas tree on the church steps. This week , along with support and contributions from local businesses (Glenn van der Leij fabricating the metal frame, Hampijan Ltd supplying the netting, RGB Event Lighting with the lights, Powertech doing the lighting installation, and Hireach and Byrne helping with the transport) and utilising last year’s frame, Nelmac management and staff constructed a 5 metre tall tree, draped it with the lights and colourful decorations and topped it all off with a magnificent blue star.
The pictures below show how the old tree’s basic structure was modified to incorporate fish netting stretched around the metal frame ,and how the structure has been enlivened with the addition of decorations, bows and the glorious new star.
Nelmac Facilities Contracts manager Ryan Holt said that an artificial tree had advantages. “We’ve been able to re-use parts of the tree structure from previous years – this fits with Nelmac’s sustainable approach. Artificial trees are cheaper in the long run as they can be re-used and are also better for the environment because they prevent one from being cut down.”
