Nelmac’s One Team wins Tug of Peace for the fifth year in a row

Date: January 29, 2014By: NELMAC MarketingUncategorized

Nelmac’s ONE TEAM has done it again!

Organised by Nelson Tasman Hospice, the annual Tug of Peace saw eight strong teams trying to pull each other across the line in the hot midday sun on 29 January. The atmosphere on top of Trafalgar Street was great and the Nelson weather was a treat.

Duncan Renwick captained this year’s Nelmac team, supported by 11 other strong men from across the Nelmac business.  8 team members were involved in each stage of the competition with an estimated one ton of weight on the rope each time – stiff competition for all other teams!

This year’s event was particularly special with the win dedicated to two people from the extended Nelmac family that sadly passed away in the last year – so it is with great pride that our boys have once again brought the trophy back to Nelmac head office.

A big thank you to the Nelson Tasman Hospice for the event and to everyone else for their support. And congratulations to Nelmac’s One Team in retaining the Tug of Peace title for the fifth year running.
