Common Name: puriri

Young trees are quite upright, forming a large canopy after many decades. Rich, green leaves have wavy edges. Pink-red flowers from late-autumn to mid-spring attract tuis and bellbirds, while wood pigeons favour the red berries that are produced from mid-summer to mid-spring. Tolerant of wind and coastal exposure, but only light frosts. Height 10m x Width 10m.
