Overview
Following renewed calls for the revitalisation of Blenheim’s CBD, Bythell Places was identified for redevelopment. Bordered by eateries, bars and restaurants at the confluence of central city lanes, Bythell Place is a high foot traffic hub throughout day and night.
Activity
Nelmac’s landscape architecture team was responsible for all aspects of the redevelopment. Planning and design focused on reconciling existing inner city character with the need for natural planting and trees. Fixed seated decks, a staged lawn area and relocatable planter boxes define the space while providing flexiblity of use in the long term - catering for outdoor dining offerings, foot-traffic circulation and public events.
